Ceci Kasmarcik led the way by setting our School Record in the 1000 Meter Run while also anchoring our 4 by 800 Meter Relay Team’s third overall finish. On the boys side, our 4 by 4 Team finished SECOND overall!! Great Job and good luck at State Quals!

Another absolutely impressive day was turned in by our C-FIT Blue Devils. Eight individuals or Relay Teams placed, three finished first overall, and THREE SCHOOL RECORDS were set! Lauren Paske set the School Record in winning the Shot Put, Jacob Clutz set the School Record in the 500, and the Relay Team of Clutz, Nate Raab, Sam Paske, and Zephen Tompkins placed first and set the School Record in the Sprint Medley!

On a frigid night at Ithaca College, our C-FIT women turned in some outstanding performances led by seniors Riley Spalik and Alyssa Denton, and freshmen Aubrey McMullen, Clara Little, and Ceci Kasmarcik.

Our C-FIT (Chenango Forks Indoor Track) team had their best meet of the year last night at the Twilight Invite in Cortland. FOUR School Records were set and FOURTEEN athletes placed overall!

At our first Meet at Ithaca College of the season, our Blue Devils were led by Ceci Kasmarcik and Clara Little each placing 6th overall in the 600 Meter Run and 30000 Meter Run respectfully. Bri Panko also had a stellar meet setting her PR in the 55 Meter Dash and now ranks as the 5th fastest in the history of the school for the event. Meanwhile, Jacob Clutz ran a 3 second PR in the 600 Meter Run and is now our 9th fastest runner in the history of the event!

Ceci Kasmarcik led the way for the Blue Devils, winning the 600 Meter Dash for the second time this season and Clara Little set her PR in the 1500 (and is now ranked 7th All Time in School History).

Our Indoor Blue Devils trackmen and women performed admirably at the 21-team Section IV Classic Invite over the weekend. The squad was led by Lauren Paske’s first place finish in the Shot Put, with another record-setting toss…this time 35’6.75” This throw places her 15th overall in the entire State (both public and private schools)!

The CFTF 2024-2025 Indoor Track Season got off to an impressive start at the 607 Invitational at SUNY Cortland on Saturday afternoon. The Indoor Devils had twelve individuals or Relay Teams place, eight of those in the Top Three, and four First Place champions.

Leading the way for the boys was senior Nate Raab who set the School Record in the 300 Meter Dash. His time of 37.16 is the Third fastest time in New York State Small Schools so far this season! Senior Lauren Paske and freshman Ceci Kasmarcik lead the way for the girls’ squad each winning their individual events. Lauren’s Shot Put throw of 34 feet 10.75 inches is the furthest so far this season in the Section, the furthest in the State for Small Schools, and the 11th furthest overall in the ENTIRE STATE of New York.

Freshman Clara Little capped her outstanding first season running Cross Country by breaking 22 minutes at a winding, very difficult Queensbury course, on a beautiful fall day. Clara was able to place 84th out of 130 runners, and we couldn’t be prouder!!

Initial Results from the 26th Annual Pumpkin Run…

The 26th Annual Pumpkin Run is scheduled for Friday, October 25th. All CF Students (K-6) may participate in this One Mile Fun Run around the school grounds. Every participant will receive a goody bag full of snacks (including apples donated by Apple Hills), while the fastest boy and girl per grade level will also receive a large painted pumpkin decorated by the High School Art Club!
