Ithaca Relays!!

What a night at the Ithaca Relays for Forks Track!  The highlight of the meet (and maybe the season so far), was our Girls Distance Medley Relay Team of Audra Ackerson, Pipher Reid, Quinn Sirgany, and Grace Harkness shattering the School Record by thirteen seconds, running a time of 13:09.92 and winning the event.  This is the second fastest time (by one second) run in the entire State (D-2) this season!

Our other first place finishers were the Shot Put team of Aubrey Bough and Lauren Paske.  Aubrey threw her PR in the event, breaking thirty feet for the first time in her career.

Gianna Lawrence and Dubbs Haqq each won the Triple Jump overall for the second Invite in a row (Vestal Golden Bears Relay last week), a double feet that had never happened in School History!!

Other highlights include:

-Mari Pourby and Gianna Lawrence finishing second overall in the High Jump.

-Gianna Lawrence and Lauren Paske finishing third in the Triple Jump.

-Our 4 by 1 Team of Aliana Gumble, Mari Pourby, Gianna Lawrence, and Kara Condon finishing third.  

And for individual finishes: Aubrey Bough finished second in the Shot and Lauren Paske tossed her PR and finished second overall in the Disc.

On the boys side:

-Dubbs Haqq and Ethan Vasleck finished third in the Triple Jump AND in the High Jump.

-The 4 by 2 Team of Ethan Austin, Jan Pardes, Brendan Heaney, and Carmine Gross finished 3rd.  

-Naheim Weaver finished second overall in the Discus,  

The weather was pretty close to perfect and we hope that trend continues as we head out to UE for the Parkhurst Invite on Saturday, May 14.
